TMCF Campaign Director

The Telluride Medical Center Foundation (TCMF) Campaign Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the comprehensive campaign, which may include funding for a housing initiative and/or a new facility. The campaign requires a myriad of tasks that must be performed in a timely and consistent manner. The Campaign Director reports to the Executive Director.


Strategic

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the campaign including meeting management, prospect management, and volunteer management.
  • Manages and attends other campaign meetings including engagement and cultivation efforts, prospect evaluation and management; coordinates agendas and manages meeting action items.

Volunteer Management

  • Manages the activities of the Campaign Steering Committee including scheduling, agenda development, and meeting action notes and follow up.
  • Supports volunteer requirements in a timely and consistent manner including coordination with other volunteers, prospect briefs and the provision of support and campaign materials.

Cultivation

  • Organizes and supports donor cultivation events.
  • Attends other events and other off-hour meetings.

Portfolio Management

  • Manages the portfolio of campaign prospects.
  • In coordination with campaign volunteers, develops proposals to individuals and family foundations.
  • Oversee campaign communications, including content development and distribution.
  • Oversees development of correspondence and related campaign communications

Reporting

  • Drafts monthly campaign gift report for Steering Committee review
  • Manages the campaign dashboard, analyzes campaign progress and potential.

Management

  • Collaborates with foundation team to ensure annual support programs and activities are fully integrated.
  • Organizes campaign documents for easy access and use by campaign and volunteer staff.
  • Manage campaign policies including gift acceptance and counting and institute systems for acknowledging, recording, filing, and reporting campaign contributions.
  • Oversees expenditure of approved campaign budget.
  • Produces and manages all print and non-print campaign materials.


Requirements and Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in public relations, communications, or a related discipline or equivalent work history.


Minimum 5 years’ experience in resource development with direct fundraising experience.

  • Strong critical and strategic thinking skills as well as creative and innovative thinking.
  • Excellent written communication.
  • Strong project management skills with timely and consistent attention to follow-up.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment to accomplish team goals.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment.
  • Proven record of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with individuals and groups having diverse interests and backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated leadership and experience motivating volunteers.
  • Ability to analyze data and trends.
  • Extensive knowledge of computers and software, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and donor database applications.

This position is a salaried/exempt position.

The salary range for this position starts at $85,000/year.
