Registered Veterinary Tech
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Description: The Ohio State University is at the momment seeking for Registered Veterinary Tech right now, this position will be reside in Ohio. Detailed specification about this position opportunity please read the description below. Works in the Anesthesia Section of the Veterinary Medical Center under the direction of the supervisor and faculty Veterinary Anesthesiologists; provides anesthesia service fo! r surgical, medical and diagnostic cases of small and large animals; reviews patients’ medical histories and determines appropriate pre-anesthetic and anesthetic agents to be administered; administers anesthesia; monitors patient condition and response throughout the procedures and during recovery phase; enters charges into hospital information system; stocks supplies; maintains anesthesia equipment; assists with instructing students on anesthesia techniques, agents and equipment; participates in small animal emergency on-call anesthesia service and other duties as assigned.
Associate’s degree in animal health technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience; one year of previous and related experience; must be a current Registered Veterinary Technician in the State of Ohio; ability to lift animals 40-50 lbs. and ability to push/pull 1000 lb. animals on carts.
