Provides care to pediatric through geriatric patients under the direction of an RN and / or Physician in the Intra Operative and Endoscopic phases utilizing! experience, knowledge of equipment and instrumentation to ensure the best possible outcomes. Communicates with surgeon and anesthesiologist / CRNA and RN continuously. Participates in performance improvement activities. Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory. Ass Functions as a part of the surgical service team. Provides care to pediatric through geriatric patients under the direction of an RN and / or Physician in the Intra Operative and Endoscopic phases utilizing experience, knowledge of equipment and instrumentation to ensure the best possible outcomes. Communicates with surgeon and anesthesiologist / CRNA and RN continuously. Participates in performance improvement activities. Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory. Assesses operating room equipment functioning and readiness, obtains supplies for individual procedures and ensures all appropriate needs of surgical operating team are met. Monitors, positions and assist! s patient during procedure
BLS, Computer knowledge / ! keyboarding. Able to communicate in English using both verbal and written forms effectively. Displays effective listening skills. Writes and understands medical terminology. Certificate of completion accredited ORT program or applicable on the job or military training prefered. Recommend: Application to sit for certification exam within 1 year. CST- Certificate of completion accredited ORT program or military training. One year OR experience preferred
