The ideal candidate has an interest in journalism and is smart, enterprising, highly organized, and able to multi-task; they possess strong communications & Excel skills, good knowledge of news and current events, and keen attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Handle all administrative duties for CBS News Logistics.
  • Manage billing while keeping director and manager apprised of billing issues.
  • Assist in booking & manage travel including flights, hotels, ground transportation during
breaking news.
  • Prepare and manage monthly expense reports and reconciliations.
  • Create, modify and format documents electronically including letters, memos, itineraries and
other related documents.
  • Assisting producer teams in preparing for shoots, including assembling research binders, printing
questions, and anticipating production needs.
  • Helping to gather and clear archival material from CBS and third-party sources
  • Be available to travel to news events, often on short notice.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be willing to work overtime and some weekends, as needed
  • Must be able to able to work under deadline in a fast-paced environment
  • Should have driver’s license

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $42,400.00 - 53,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
