Anesthesiology Services Network, Ltd (ASN) is an anesthesia medical group currently hiring for a Surgery/Anesthesia Scheduler .

Essential Functions include:

• Greets physicians, surgery schedulers, office staff, and other customers with a “can do” attitude.
• Monitors daily schedule for anesthesiologists, CRNA’s, and/or other customers that are contracted with ASN for scheduling support.
• Uses effective critical-thinking skills to solve scheduling issues and conflicts through! out the day.
• Effectively and efficiently schedules an! d confirms cases and block times with surgery schedulers from both hospital based locations.
• Accurately enters case information into scheduling software.
• Accurately documents and relays all messages to Executive Administrator, physicians, and others as necessary.
• Helps with Excel and Word processing projects as requested.
• Assists the team to maintain a clean environment in the office.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding all clients, physicians and personnel.
• Develops positive relationships with anesthesia providers and hospital schedulers.
• Reports any discrepancies or overtime needs to Executive Administrator immediately.
• Confirms surgeon case schedule one day prior to ensure accurate anesthesia staffing.
• Maintain exceptions and conflicts in scheduling software.
• Set schedule daily, review with Executive Administrator and main float physician.
• Confirm cases and ensure efficient! scheduling of cases to maximize productivity.
• Able to effectively handle multiple phone lines.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Experience with office based anesthesia scheduling preferred.
• 1-3 years of surgery or anesthesia scheduling experience preferred.
• Medical experience required.
• Medical terminology required.
• High school diploma required, advanced education preferred.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office and other computer applications (i.e. Open Tempo) preferred.
• Great communication and telephone skills essential.
• Able to multi-task.
• Professional attitude, dependability, good organizational skill! s.
