The Sedation Account Manager (SAM) is accountable for achieving sales goals and business objectives in the assigned territory for the SEDASYS® System. The SAM will use a consultative approach to identify the top jobs in a facility that SEDASYS® System delivers upon. Other responsibilities include delivering the value proposition to all key stakeholders at targeted facilities within the territory. The SAM will position the Sedati! on business model and how it delivers clinical, economical, an! d operational value that is linked to the top jobs at the facility.
This open position will have geographic coverage that will span multiple states and regions during the launch process and eventually will narrow to smaller state/city territories as markets are developed. Candidates can reside in any area of the West Region, with preferences in these states listed here:

The SAM will be the account owner at each customer facility. The SAM will play the role of key customer contact to assure that customer needs are properly identified, assessed, and addressed in a highly responsiv! e & cost-effective way. The SAM will be responsible for developing relationships with all key stakeholders at the facility; managing account information at a strategic and tactical level using SalesForce.Com; conducting formal and informal business reviews with facility stakeholders to ensure the proposed value proposition is being realized by the facility ; assessing customers' top job and needs that the SEDASYS® System delivers upon; educating customers on the benefits of using Computer Assisted Sedation (CAPS) technology; track and explain metrics to customers ; demonstrating clinical, economic and operational benefits of the SEDASYS® System based on what the facility is hiring the device to deliver upon; managing the sales funnel by identifying and managing all customer segments within the territory to meet sales and business objectives; analyzing and prioritizing sales and service opportunities; and executing business plan to meet sales forecasts. The SAM will be nee! d to possess team building and collaboration skills that will be levera! ged to work efficiently with the Clinical Integration Specialist (CIS), Field Service Engineer (FSE), Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Area Business Manager (ABM), and other Sedation personnel. The SAM will need to perform necessary administrative tasks and reporting using the assigned business tools & templates; work with internal stakeholders to prepare and present contract and service options; drives career development through on-the-job learning; special projects; workshops and conferences. Other responsibilities may be assigned & not all responsibilities listed may be assigned.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, a minimum of a Bachelorâs Degree paired is required. A valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 States with a clean driving record is required. The ability to travel as necessary, which may include overnight and/or weekends, is required. Extensive national field travel; up to 75% during the first year. A minimum of 6 years of! business-to-business related sales within healthcare arena using consultative sales techniques is required, preferably in Hospitals/ Outpatient Surgery, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN); a minimum of 1 year in a leadership, training & development, or coaching role with individuals and teams- Field sales trainer or other leadership experience is preferred; at least 3 years of selling within an organizational or complex healthcare facility involving multiple stakeholders within the decision making process is required. Customer Stakeholder experience with: Facility Administration, Unit Managers, C-Suite, Nursing, Anesthesiologist, Director of Peri-operative Services, Gastroenterologist is preferred. Demonstrated experience in increasing procedural adoption and market expansion of a product or service which resulted in increased sales volumes is preferred. Consistent track record in forecast attainment and meeting business objectives is requir! ed. Previous experience selling new, innovative, or disruptive technolo! gy (product or service) preferably within the Endoscopy, Gastroenterology, or Special Procedure, and Anesthesiology Departments. It is preferred that candidates will have experience with planning, implementing, and executing a formal plan of action to integrate a product or solution within a healthcare facility. Experience in working with a team environment to deliver business objectives is required.
