Description
Sedasys, a Division of Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Inc., part of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies is currently recruiting for 2 Medical Science Liaison positions for the East and/or West Region.
These two open positions will have geographic coverage that will span multiple states and regions during the launch of the SEDASYS® System and eventually will narrow to smaller state/city territories as markets are developed. Candidates can reside in any area of the Eastern or Western US with preferences in the states listed below:
East
Preferably New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, or Virginia; or possible secondary locales of Massachusetts, North Carolina, South Carolina or Florida
West
Preferably California, Arizona, or Texas; or possible secondary locales of Washington, Utah or Colorado

The Medical Science Liaison is responsible for the training of customers on the safe and effective use of the SEDASYS® System.
Providing support to commercial team with input for / ownership of:
Attends and provides report outs on learnings from key scientific meetings.
Partners with key thought leaders and academic institution to advocate the responsible use of Sedasys products.
Participates in planning and implementation of faculty/speaker training, seminars, programs and advisory boards for physicians, nurses etc.
Evaluation of current literature and competitive activity.
Participates as part of global Sedasys Professional Education to achieve the st! rategic goals and activities of the function.
Provides SEDASYS System training to customers.
Supports Medical Affairs through addressing unsolicited requests for medical information from health care professionals as needed, and providing medical review of Investigator Initiated.
Study grant requests.
Supports commercial team (sales, marketing, healthcare economics) through presentations regarding the SEDASYS System and sedation, to healthcare professionals, facility administrators, medical societies and payors.
Provides planning and participation support of Professional Education events.
Assesses the implications of product malfunction, product design and potential user error as to the safety of the patient.

Qualifications
A minimum Certified ! Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) required or MD/DO/DDS Oral Surgery ! with appropriate experience required. Experience in delivery of anesthesia/sedation with propofol is required. Experience training healthcare professionals desirable. Comfort with utilization of computer, company applications, and remote technology. Communication and teamwork skills. Medical writing and presentation skills. Ability to deliver effective training. Networking and customer relationship management skills . Personal effectiveness in regards to managing time and multiple tasks. Ability to motivate and be inclusive. Influence management within a multi-disciplinary team without direct authority. Understanding of FDA regulatory environment for devices and/or drugs. This position requires up to 75 - 90% travel. Must have a valid U.S. driver's license and a clean driving record, as incumbent in this role will receive a company car. Please refer to the job description for location requirements.
