Dental Anesthesiologist Residency Program Director
The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Dental Anesthesiology is seeking a dentist anesthesiologist to join the full time faculty in the section of Dental Anesthesiology and to serve as Residency Program Director.
As Program Director of the Dental Anesthesiology Program, duties will include oversight of all facets of the residency program. Other responsibilities will include pre-doctoral and resident teaching, resident education, and intramural clinical practice.
The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is the third largest public dental school in the United States, and it is the only public dental school in Ohio. The Section of Anesthesiology offers one of the nations oldest and most highly-regarded training programs in Dental Anesthesiology, and enjoys excellent working relationships with the Section of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and other specialty divisions within the college. Requirements: Candidates must have completed a minimum of two years in a dental anesthesiology residency accredited by the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology or by the Commission on Dental Accreditation, and must have extensive experience in sedation and general anesthesia for all types of dental surgery for adults and young children. The candidate must be board certified and must be eligible for licensure in Ohio. Candidates must demonstrate a strong desire to conduct and supervise research to complement their teaching. Desired: An advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) beyond the dental degree in an area directly related to anesthesiology.
